Schizophrenzy

In the weeks following its debut on adultswim.com, Smashing Ideas original production Schizophrenzy was welcomed by a round of approval from the interwebs. No, these aren’t disembodied voices, they’re real bloggers who gave us props for fun gameplay and freaky style. Here are a few highlights from the “industry pundits.”

Always ahead of the curve, revered queer game blog Gay Gamer was the first to post a review. Check out their writeup here:

Not long after, a full review appeared in Casual Gameplay (a.k.a., Jay Is Games). This is among the most popular review sites for casual games, and the review was just as colorful as the game itself:

Late to the party, we have Green Pixels, part of the IGN Entertainment family. Green Pixels covers the gamut of platforms and genres, so we were pleased to see our weirdness catch the eye of yet another blog of note:

Reviewer Nathan Meunier says, “If you’re up for a short burst of lunacy, this is the game for you. Schizophrenzy is a great way to loosen up after a long, serious day and get your crazies out while having fun in the process.”

We couldn’t agree more. Thanks for the kind words, everyone!

This month’s whiteboard features a pirate burger and his friends. Apparently it started with the ice cream cone. “Once you draw an ice cream cone, you just can’t shake it,” says Monte, the artist behind the markers. Monte also claims that when you’re sad, drawing food can cheer you up.
